Lazy B Beach Club – Jiyeh
This beautiful private beach club on the way to the South from Beirut is exactly what the name suggests: the place to be happy, relaxed, and well taken care of. Lazy B is approximately 20 minutes out of Beirut and is easily accessible less than 2 minutes after taking the exit off the coastal highway, with parking available on-site. You have the option of dipping your toes in 3 pools as well as beach access. When choosing a place to sit back on the loungers, there is a variety of choices across the large green landscape with more group friendly areas with many loungers and parasols next to each other, or a section with 2 loungers and a parasol per spot for more private experience. You can also treat yourself to a soothing massage at the estate. The beach club has its own restaurants, food shacks and bars. You may have salads, sandwiches and drinks brought to you wherever you’re lounging at the club, or you can make your way to the terrace for fresh fish and Lebanese cuisine served by Lebneniyet a la Mer or Italian cuisine from La Posta Estate.
As it is one of the most popular beaches in that neighborhood, crowds begin rolling in from 9:00 am with a brief pause at 2:00, and then it starts to get crowded again at 3:00. Despite it being crowded, the beach club has a calm atmosphere throughout.

Blat Public Beach – Byblos (Jbeil)
Located just before Byblos, Blat Public Beach is a family friendly haven perfect for those who want to enjoy the raw beauty of Lebanon’s coast with little interruption. This public beach is ideal for those who want to swim, relax, and take in the view without the frills of beach clubs. You can easily set up a towel and picnic on the sand or rent a lounger and parasol from the private pool resorts also situated along the same coast. One drawback to this beach is that the bathrooms and showers are only for clients from the resorts.
The calm, crystal-clear water is perfect for swimming, and you’ll often find local families enjoying the sea here. The beach is a long stretch on the sand with a scenic view of the mountains on both sides so feel free to find your favorite spot to situate in. While it lacks fancy amenities, it offers a wholesome escape with friends or family from the more commercial beaches. It may be easy to miss the board at the entrance of the beach if you’re on the side of the coast that’s coming from Beirut so drive slow once you’re closer on the map or look out for Edde Sands beach -another lovely private beach club – which is just before this gem on the way up.
Entrance Fee: Free without loungers and parasols, charge of 5$ for a lounger and parasol
Opening hours: 9:00 am till 7:00 pm
*The municipal sign specifies that the beach is only open for families on weekends and holidays. Locals have managed to go there as friend groups during these days with little issue, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a plan b just in case!
Jungle Beach – Amchit
If you’re looking for the dream beach party, Jungle Beach in Amchit is your answer. Started in collaboration with the local Three Brothers Gin brand, Jungle Beach is a tiki bar style beach with greenery and a cool, tropical atmosphere just north of Byblos (Jbeil). The beach features comfortable hammocks, cushion-filled seating areas, and a funky, jungle-like décor that’s totally Instagram-worthy. If you feel like a quick break from the sun, make your way indoors for a quick game of table football with your friends or other beachgoers. You’ll have everything you need from food, fun, DJs, beach access and a nice mirror before the bathroom stalls for selfies. Jungle offers beach access only, while the project right next door has a pool which you may also jump to if it’s open. The food at jungle beach is Lebanese traditional and seafood, with some international options available. They are known for their delicious gin cocktails. Keep an eye out on their Instagram for their weekend parties! From the evening fisherman’s market and nighttime open buffets to their yoga Sundays, Jungle beach taps into everyone’s inner happy child on all fronts.
How to get there: you’ll know you’re there when you’re at a blue gate with a small sign that says ‘Jungle Beach’ but you may feel a bit lost looking for it. When you leave the highway onto the seaside road, you will drive forward for about 1 minute and find it right next to an old building.
Busy times: the jungle calls out to you starting 10:00 am but starts to get really crowded at 12 and beyond, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays. They are open till nighttime for their parties and events. It is not advisable to swim past sunset.
Entrance Fee: 8$ on weekdays and 12$ on weekends.
Abo Ali Beach, Kfarabida
Nestled between the many resorts of Kfarabida, Abo Ali Beach is THE hidden gem. Known mostly to locals who go to disconnect without all the commercial fuss, this free sandy beach will have you at your calmest and coolest. Located a little over an hour north of Beirut, and among some of the area’s most luxurious getaways, this beach is one of a kind in comparison to other public spots in the naturally rocky neighborhood: calm and with a sandier beachfront. Abo Ali beach is sandy with soft pebbles towards the water, offering a stunning view among a backdrop of green-topped rocky cliffs meeting the calm blue waters. Just be sure to bring your own food and drinks—there are a few small vendors nearby, but it’s mostly a bring-your-own-kind-of-place. There are also no toilets or amenities on the actual beach site at the moment.
Busy times: there are no formal opening and closure times, but the beach typically starts getting crowded by 10:00 am. It is highly unadvisable to swim here past sunset.
It’s easy to miss the entrance, so keep an eye out for the trail leading down from the road. You’ll park up top on the seaside road and walk down a short path to the beach. Look for the clusters of bamboo-like plants near the trailhead—they’re your guide to this serene spot. There’s no formal setup here, so find a spot, lay out your towel, and enjoy the raw, untouched beauty of Abo Ali Beach.
BluBay – Batroun
For the partiers, the lowkey personas and the beach addicts, BlueBay will not leave any of you disappointed. The beach is easy to reach—simply follow the coastal highway north and take the Batroun exit, then follow the big sign on the road that says “BluBay”. It’s a popular spot, but thanks to its large shore and well-organized layout, there’s plenty of space to enjoy your day. You can rent loungers and parasols, and the beach is equipped with bathrooms and showers, making it a comfortable choice for a full day in the sun.
The minimum spend at a lounger is 5$ per person and renting a private lounger area with loungers and beds for a group of people comes with a 10$ minimum spend per person. These prices are in addition to the entrance fee, which is 10$ on weekends. Entrance is free on weekdays!
BluBay is known for its lively atmosphere, good music, well-crafted drinks and yummy casual food served by the beach’s kitchen that all comes to you if you’ve rented a lounger or booth. You can also set a towel and lounge by the beach if you don’t prefer to rent. Families and groups of friends arrive by late morning, and the beach gets busier as the day progresses. For those looking for some action, Blue Bay offers various water sports, including jet skiing and paddleboarding.
In addition to the beach kitchen and the bar, The on-site restaurant, Ceviche, serves a fusion of Mediterranean and international cuisine, with fresh seafood that’s earned this local restaurant the #1 seafood spot in Batroun on TripAdvisor in 2024. The afternoons are when the energy picks up, with music from live DJs on weekends turning the beach into a party in full swing by sunset well into the night.
– Opening Hours: 10:00 am until sunset for swimming, with events sometimes continuing into the night especially on weekends (but even on weekdays during the midsummer months). It’s best to get there before 12 :00 pm as that’s when it starts to get really crowded.
Butler’s Beach Club – Batroun
Butler’s Beach Club is the epitome of chic coastal relaxation with earthy colors, kaftans at the giftshop, and even a vertical pond with lily pads. Also close to central Batroun, this beach club’s exclusive experience is for those who prefer a calm day by the sea with a touch of luxury. There is a serene pool covered by trees on the right side of the lounger terrace. The beach itself, which you have access to, is a blend of sandy and soft pebbled shores, with crystal-clear waters that invite you to take a swim or to just zone out while peering over it from the terrace with ultra comfy loungers and parasols. The beachside bites and drinks are a favorite at this upscale beach and will keep you satisfied while soaking in the Mediterranean sun.
If you don’t feel like ordering food and drinks to your lounger, the club also has an upscale restaurant, Butler’s Table, which is specialized in both local and international style seafood. Be sure to call or visit their website to book prior to going, as the beach club accepts a limited number of visitors at a time to ensure a constantly relaxed ambiance and can rarely accommodate walk-ins during the busy summer months.
– Busy or Quiet: More relaxed than other beach clubs in the area, making it ideal for a quieter, more refined beach day. They achieve this by limiting the number of entrants per day, so you would still want to book in advance.
– Entrance Fee: $30 during weekdays, $35 on weekends.
– Opening Hours: 10:00 am till sunset for pool and beach.
Tahet el Rih – Anfeh
Often referred to as Lebanon’s “Little Santorini” for its blue and white coastal guesthouses and dreamy setup, Tahet el Rih in Anfeh is a natural beach lover’s paradise, combining a stunning open landscape with crystal-clear waters. Anfeh is a bit further than other options, about 20 minutes from Batroun, but is well worth the trip.
You’ll find smooth stone ledges leading directly into the turquoise sea that you can setup your towels on, creating a peaceful setting that’s perfect for swimming or simply lounging by the water. If you prefer, you can also rent loungers and parasols for 10$ if you’re not eating at any of the charming cafes there. If you’re eating at the café the loungers are free. There are also little cocktail and beer kiosks for those who are in the mood for a little party. Bathrooms, service, and warm welcomes are all available for visitors to this beautiful escape. The cafes at Tahet el Rih serve a variety of Lebanese cuisine including seafood, as well as some international staples. It’s also a spot where locals come to unwind, making it one of the more authentic beach experiences in Lebanon. It can still get quite busy especially in July and between 11:00 am till 4:00 pm, and even more so on weekends. It’s otherwise open all day but it is not advisable to swim after sunset especially since the beach is rocky.
When you arrive, you’ll find yourself in a large parking lot that looks over the sea. The entrance to the beachside is to the right of the parking lot. You will see a pole with some restaurant signs and a path in between stone walls: that’s the entrance.
Soult Beach – Batroun
Soult Beach is the place to go for the perfect balance between destressing at the lounger, unfiltered fun by the beach bar, and adrenaline infused water sports with support from experienced professionals. Soult is a newer addition to Lebanon’s beach scene, but it’s quickly made a name for itself with its cool, modern vibe and commitment to sustainability. Located on the main seaside road just a stone’s throw from the center of Batroun, Soult Beach offers a space to setup towels on the grass field, or loungers and parasols both by the infinity pool and by the bar. You also have full beach access.
The food at Soult does not disappoint and Yog, their new frozen yogurt corner, is the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Their cocktails are also some of the best on the coast. Soult Beach is is stylish in every way: from the Instagram-worthy decor to the view, to the pop-up artisan markets and yoga events that they host, and you’ll always feel like you’re part of something unique.
Soult’s open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (this doesn’t apply to their events which often stretch into the night). The crowds start rushing in between 1:00 and 2:30, so I’d recommend getting there earlier for those looking to lounge by the pool or relax on the grass, sans party.
Entrance Fee: $20 on weekdays, $25 on weekends.
Colonel Beach – Batroun
Colonel Beach is the perfect mix of chill vibes and beachside fun. Located right next to the famous Colonel Brewery, this pet-friendly beach is all about relaxing with friends, enjoying a cold craft beer, and soaking up the sun. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebbles. This beach has 4 perfect elements for the ultimate relaxation mode:
Colonel is ideal for those who want to relax at the beach with some great food and drinks. It’s easy to find too – google maps will tell you you’ve arrived but you’ll be one street behind. Just stay on the seaside road until you see the big Colonel sign. You’ll see a big grey cylindrical shaped abandoned building with graffiti on its walls from the inside and Colonel will be to the left of it.
One thing about it though is that while the beachfront has soft pebbles, the sea itself is rocky so you may want to wear sturdy shoes that latch onto your feet well if you don’t want them to get scraped. In addition, there are no loungers or parasols; you will need to setup with your towel. You’re also free to bring rafts and paddleboards or rent from the water sports corner.
For food, the brewery’s kitchen serves up classic Lebanese dishes with a twist, including burgers, seafood, and Lebanese mezze platters.
Colonel Beach often hosts live music events and bonfires in the evening for those looking for some chilled-out summer fun.
Splash Beach – Jiyyeh
This one is for the kiddos: If you’re looking for non-stop family entertainment that also caters well for parents, Splash Beach in Jiyyeh is an excellent option. This lively beach club is located just 20 minutes south of Beirut and is easily accessible off the coastal highway. Children love it thanks to its big pool with loads of fun waterslides right at the entrance and the lazy river on the lower section of the beach. Next to the lazy river is the more adult-friendly pool where there are the food and crepe shacks as well as the bar, and this infinity pool offers a wonderful view of the sea line. There is a proper restaurant with a seating arrangement and bathrooms at the upper section of the beach. The food options at Splash are perfect for a family day out. You can grab a quick bite from the on-site food kiosks offering sandwiches, burgers, crepes, and fresh juices, or sit down at the beach restaurant for more substantial fare. It’s clean, fun, safe and budget friendly.
Entrance Fee: Weekdays: $15. Weekends: $18. There’s plenty of parking available on-site, making it a convenient choice for a full day out.
Opening Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm from Sunday till Thursday; 9:00 am till 10:00 pm on Fridays; 9:00 Am till 7:00 pm on Saturday. It’s best to beat the crowds which usually start coming in by 11:00 Am.
